NEIL PERKINS
My work for industrial, medical and chemical companies and research institutions puts me at the cutting edge of technical language use. Theatres, museums, the tourist trade and filmmakers appreciate my flair for creative writing, as do authors of children's books.
I have long been involved with the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, lecturing in English, supporting conference preparations and presentations and proofreading or translating scholarly papers and books.
When not working I can often be found running up and down the hills of Burgenland (yes, there are some!) or hiking further afield. Since childhood I have been a sufferer of Arsenal FC – "sufferer" describes it better than "supporter" (ask my wife!). I also love music, play guitar and one-fingered keyboards, and have an eclectic taste that ranges all the way from hard rock to heavy metal :-)
